What is the Cheapest AND Easiest way to get close to a Korn/ Nu-Metal tone with minimal gear. That is to say what's an affordable way to emulate that tone without buying a bunch of pedals or expensive Mesa amps. This is my current set up: a 7 string Ibanez Gio with a Dimarzio paf-7 humbucker added to the bridge position, a Fender Champion 100, and a Boss Katana 50 MK II. Based on my research the 3 main things needed seem to be a 7 string guitar, a high gain amp like a Mesa Boogie and a pedal setup. I already have a 7 string, however Mesa Boogie double and triple rectifiers cost an arm and a leg (even used) and as far as pedals I have read recommendations spanning everything from an Ibanez Ts9 tube scr
