Barrington Edward Hayles (born 17 May 1972) is a football coach and former player who played as a striker. Born in England, he was capped ten times by Jamaica at international level. Hayles began his career in non-League with Willesden Hawkeye and Stevenage Borough, before making more than 350 Football League appearances for Bristol Rovers, Fulham, Sheffield United, Millwall, Plymouth Argyle, Leicester City and Cheltenham Town. He played 215 games over six seasons at Fulham, including 75 in the Premier League and nine in European competition. Hayles returned to non-League in 2010, featuring for Truro City, St Albans City, Arlesey Town, Chesham United, Merstham and Windsor. During his time at Merstham, Hayles also served as the club's assistant manager. Hayles finally called time on his playing days in 2023, at the age of 51. In a career that spanned 34 years and fifteen clubs, he played over 1,160 competitive matches.
